Your Aircraft

Is your aircraft annex I or annex II?

Annex I
Annex II

First it is necessary to establish into which category your aircraft falls.

The relevant Annexes can be found on the CAA website in CAP 747, section 1, part 2.

If it has previously been issued with a Certificate of Airworthiness, then now under EASA, it will fall into either Annex I or Annex II categories.

If your aircraft is in Annex I

(CAP 747 - Section 1, Part 2, pages 23 – 33)

  • Contact a Part M subpart G organisation (CAMO).

  • Enter into a Maintenance Contract with them

  • They will then organise ongoing maintenance with a subpart F organisation. This will usually be the same company as in J & J’s case.

  • They will issue the ARC each year.

If your aircraft is in Annex II

(CAP 747 - Section 1, Part 2, pages 41 – 50)

  • Annex II aircraft can also be maintained by a subpart F & G company as most of them, like ourselves, will continue to keep their M3 approval in place.
